General
What age can my child start?
From 4 with computer basics, and from 6 with visual block-based coding. There's no wrong age to start — the pace adjusts to your child. Adults are welcome from 15 to 65.
Is any prior experience needed?
No — most students start from zero. Classes begin with visual, block-based tools like Scratch before moving into typed languages.
What's the class size?
Up to 12 students per group, so the teacher can actually watch each student's work rather than teach to the back of the room.
What if we miss a class?
Every week we run a replacement class — one-on-one or in a group with a teacher, at no extra charge.
How much does it cost?
Kids programmes start from RM 450 per month and adult courses from RM 550 per month. Computer Basics for Kids and Game Development are RM 370 per 4 classes. We confirm the exact price at the free trial class.
Where exactly are you located?
A2-6-3, Soho Suites KLCC, 20 Jalan Perak, 50450 Kuala Lumpur — two minutes from KLCC. We are not affiliated with Nova Academy (nova.edu.my) in Bukit Jalil or any other school named "Nova".
Do we need our own laptop?
No — computers are provided in class. Bring your own laptop if you'd like to continue at home.
Is coding still worth learning now that AI writes code?
More than before, not less — someone still has to know if the AI's answer is right. We teach students to direct AI tools deliberately, not to avoid them.
Why pay when Scratch and Code.org are free?
They're genuinely good starting points, and we say so. What they don't give is a real teacher watching your child's specific mistakes, a peer group, and a defined next step.
Is the trial class really free?
Yes — the trial class for kids and the consultation for adults are both free, with no obligation to continue.
Kids courses
Is this a coding course?
No — this course is entirely about computer literacy: mouse, keyboard, typing, navigation and online safety. Coding starts in Junior Computer Academy.
My child already uses a tablet — do they still need this?
Tablet use doesn't transfer directly to mouse-and-keyboard control, which is what this course (and every course after it) assumes.
Does my child need to know how to code already?
No — this course is designed to work with zero prior coding experience, easing into real code by the final module.
Is this the same as the Junior Computer Academy game modules?
No — this is a standalone 18-class course focused entirely on game development across four tools, rather than one part of a multi-year curriculum.
Does my child need any prior experience?
No — most students start with zero coding background. We place each child based on a short assessment in the first session, not age alone.
What happens if my child misses a class?
Every week we run a replacement class for students who missed their regular session — one-on-one or in a group with a teacher, at no extra charge.
Is this based on age or ability?
Both, loosely — the 7–15 range is a guide, but placement depends on a short in-person assessment of where your child actually is.
How is this different from your group courses?
It's one-on-one instead of a classroom, and the topic is chosen around your child's interest instead of following a fixed curriculum.
What determines the price?
Topic, number of classes per week, and whether it's fully one-on-one or a small custom group — we'll quote this after a short conversation.
Adult courses
Is this suitable for someone with no computer experience?
Yes. The course starts from the very beginning and moves at a comfortable pace.
What's the difference between group and individual classes?
The curriculum is the same. Group classes follow a fixed schedule with other students. Individual classes are one-on-one, scheduled around you, and paced to your needs.
How long is each class?
80 minutes.
Will this help me find a job?
It gives you the everyday computer skills most office roles expect, plus a final project you can show. It is not a job placement programme.
Do I need to bring my own laptop?
Computers are provided in class. You're welcome to bring your own laptop.
Do I need Microsoft Office at home?
Not required. We'll show you free options for practising at home.
Do I need programming experience?
No. Level 1 starts from zero. Most students write a working script within the first few sessions.
I already know some Python. Can I skip Level 1?
Yes. Book a free consultation and we'll check which level suits you.
How long does each level take?
Group: about 4 months per level. Individual: depends on how often you book, usually 1–2 months.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. Every level ends with a NOVA certificate confirming completed training, practical tasks and project work — not just attendance.
