Who teaches here
Two questions, before anyone teaches a class
Every instructor at NOVA has to clear the same two-part bar before they ever stand in front of a student. First: have they actually worked in IT — built real software, touched real systems — not just studied it from a textbook? Second, and just as non-negotiable: can they explain what they know to a nine-year-old who has never seen a line of code, without losing patience or losing the child?
Plenty of skilled engineers don't clear that second bar. We'd rather have someone who still remembers what it felt like not to understand, and can walk a student back to that exact moment, than someone who simply knows the most. That's the standard whether the class is a six-year-old's first Scratch project or an adult switching careers into cybersecurity: whoever is at the front of the room has real industry experience, and has actually learned how to teach it.
Beyond the classroom
Clubs, and a way to see your child's progress
Robotics Club
Students design and build an actual robot — either working toward a competition or purely for the interest of building something that moves and responds.
Developers Club
Students build a real website, application, or other software project of their own — a place to keep creating outside the structure of a regular course.
Teach 'n Go — your child's progress, visible to you
Once enrolled, every student gets access to Teach 'n Go, our learning management platform. As a parent, you get your own portal to see schedules, attendance, and progress — not just a report at the end of the year.
